Student Clubs

MPHS Logo

Welcome to our student clubs page. We look to promote the well-being of our students through many extracurricular activities. We understand that student connections to school are strengthened through their participation in student life activities, so we encourage our students to join existing clubs or start clubs that meet their needs.

We have the following student clubs here at Mount Pleasant High School:

Ambassadors Club (Richlieu.Norris@ppsd.org)

Students in this group support the school by greeting visitors, providing tours for families and new students as well as supporting Parent Teacher Conference nights.

Crochet Club (Kathleen.Chappie@ppsd.org)

Our Dance Club is all about fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for movement. We aim to provide a space where students can explore different dance styles, learn discipline, and develop their self-expression while celebrating cultural diversity through dance.

Robotics Club – FIRST Tech Challenge Team (Kristen.Venzina@ppsd.org)

Our Robotics Club competes in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), where students design, build, and program robots to take on exciting real-world challenges. Open to all interested in STEM, teamwork, and innovation, the club provides hands-on experience in engineering, coding, and problem-solving. We meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2:45 to 5:00 PM. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to learn!

Ski Club (Danielle.Lucini@ppsd.org)

Students are provided with all clothing and gear necessary to enjoy 5 days on various Ski Mountains across New England. Skiing and Snowboarding instruction is provided by Mount Pleasant staff. The entire experience is free of charge for students and their families. Qualifying students must have a 90% or better attendance rate - fewer than 10 absences/tardies, and a GPA minimum of 85 OR positively trending GPA by qualifying for Honor Roll.
